Windshield Camera Calibration

Want to hear more?

A car windshield camera is a camera that is usually installed in the upper part of the windshield.

The camera is used to monitor the vehicle’s environment and provide the driver with warnings or assistance in certain situations. The camera actually “builds a picture” of the road, including lanes, signs, cars, pedestrians, animals or other objects on the road and provides the driver with a warning in dangerous situations.

Sometimes, in situations after changing the windshield or changing the camera, the windshield camera suffers from miscalibration, that is, it creates an inaccurate or distorted image that in the end may also warn in vain or cause the car to make wrong decisions, and this not only hurts the driving experience, but is a real danger.

Camera calibration is done by using dedicated visual aids that simulate objects in space and changing the settings until an optimal image is obtained.
